PUBLIC RELATIONS

With so many developments in the ports of Curacao it is imperative to communicate all the added-value the ports represent for the island, its people and the economy of Curacao. The CPA keeps shareholders, stakeholders, the general public, clients and investors well informed about the ins and outs involving the ports.

The activities in the ports of Curacao generate approximately NAF. 509,300,000 on an annual basis. As such, the ports account for roughly  13.07% of our GDP. Behind these and many other interesting statistics lies an array of strategies, projects, and tools that are not easily apparent to the average layman.  But were it not for the public relations efforts displayed by the PR and Marketing Departments and managerial staff, including all international promotions, tradeshows and conferences, these many vital foreign relationships and affiliations would not exist. 

In addition, CPA is actively involved in giving to the community, not only through donations and select charitable projects, but also on a much grander scale, such as its active involvement in the development of the Scharloo area and the pedestrian bridge connecting it to the Punda side, thus opening up the area for commercial, residential and cultural development.
