CPA, CPO & KTK first to receive ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 Lloyds certification

CPA, CPO & KTK are the first companies in Curacao to receive the Lloyds certification for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.

The companies were successfully audited last week by three representatives of Lloyds to recertify both the quality (ISO 9001) and environmental (ISO 14001) management systems. Companies that currently hold the 2008 versions of the standard have until September 2018 to comply with the new version or lose their certification. The new ISO versions will affect areas as Leadership, Context of the Organization, Risk-Based Thinking, Documented Information, Process Approach and others. The CPA group succeeded in passing the audit for the new 2015 standard because these areas were directly or indirectly already incorporated in our management systems.

The 2015 standard expects companies to identify the risks and opportunities that could affect the performance of their management systems and it requires the organization to define actions to address these risks and opportunities. Companies must incorporate implementation, control, evaluation and the review of the effectiveness of these actions in their quality processes.

CPA and its subsidiaries are committed to continuously improve its services to customers and to support other port operators in implementing the fundamentals of both the quality and environmental management systems.
